Teaching Timetable Module

The HEIMS teaching timetable module provides for a system where a single teaching timetable is developed by a centralised timetabling service both for registered students and allocated lecturers. The teaching timetable module is fully integrated with the HEIMS Registration Module in order to eliminate all student/module headaches during the timetable development process. This ensures that the timetable, the module it contains and the students who receive it are all a derivative of the registration process.

Built into the teaching timetable module is the capacity to distribute timetables to teaching staff upon module allocation and to learners upon their successful completion of registration.

Below are a few of the many benefits of a centrally co-ordinated timetable:

• A single central record of all teaching undertaken in the university.

• A timetable which remains clash-free and optimises student module attendance.

• More efficient use of specialised teaching spaces.

• The ability to produce teaching timetables for individual staff members quickly and efficiently.

• The release of academic staff time through reduction of administrative burden
